Accenture Acquires Award Solutions to Expand Advanced Wireless Technologies Skills Training Content and Capabilities of Accenture LearnVantage
Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has acquired Award Solutions, a provider of training and consulting services in advanced wireless and network technologies, including 5G, internet of things, and cloud-based solutions. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
As AI, 5G and cloud technologies become an increasingly important part of organizations’ digital core, demand for highly skilled professionals capable of designing, implementing, and effectively managing these advanced networks is anticipated to continue growing. As part of this acquisition, Award Solutions’ expert team of 29 professionals joins Accenture LearnVantage, a comprehensive technology learning and training service, to further enhance training modules tailored to the unique needs of network leaders, network operations and performance engineers, and IT professionals in the telecom space.
Accenture forms Nvidia Business Group to chase agentic AI
Consulting giant Accenture is forming an Nvidia Business Group in its own organization to help it drive and grow AI adoption in enterprises, a move that comes as part of a newly expanded partnership between the two firms, and more deeply entwines Accenture with the company that has become the poster boy of the AI boom.
Accenture said it will help enable agentic AI by leveraging its AI Refinery framework, which uses the full Nvidia AI stack, including Nvidia AI Foundry, AI Enterprise and Omniverse platforms, to advance areas such as process reinvention, AI-powered simulation, and sovereign AI. The company already has AI Refinery Engineering Hubs in Mountain View, California, and Bangalore, and intends to build additional hubs in Accenture Singapore, Tokyo, Malaga, and London. The partners already are working with some customers to support agentic AI, one prime example being Indosat Group in Indonesia, with whom Accenture and Nvidia are working on a sovereign AI project.
Accenture AI Refinery will be available on all public and private cloud platforms and will integrate seamlessly with other Accenture Business Groups to accelerate AI across the SaaS and cloud AI ecosystem, the company stated. Accenture also plans to debut a new Nvidia NIM Agent Blueprint for virtual facility robot fleet simulation, which integrates Omniverse and Nvidia’s Isaac robotics software and Metropolis video analytics software to enable industrial companies to build autonomous, robot-operated software-defined factories and facilities. Accenture will use these new capabilities at Eclipse Automation, an Accenture-owned manufacturing automation company, to deliver as much as 50% faster designs and 30% reduction in cycle time on behalf of its clients, the company said.

Accenture’s investment will help Turbine further extend its capabilities to global biopharma companies that can benefit from Turbine’s ability to uncover hidden biological insights, with the potential to guide and accelerate key drug development workstreams.
Turbine’s core technology, the Simulated Cell™ platform, utilizes machine learning to understand how human cells make decisions. The platform intricately models molecular interactions within and around cells, enabling virtual experiments in volumes that are nearly impossible to achieve in the physical world and revealing mechanisms that drive diseases and response to therapies.
Accenture Invests in Sanctuary AI to Bring AI-Powered, Humanoid Robotics to Work Alongside Humans
Accenture has made a strategic investment, through Accenture Ventures, in Sanctuary AI, a developer of humanoid general-purpose robots that are powered by AI and can perform a wide variety of work tasks quickly, safely and effectively.
Sanctuary AI’s general-purpose robot PhoenixTM, recently recognized as one of TIME magazine’s “Best Inventions of 2023,” can perform a multitude of work tasks. For instance, at a Mark’s retail store in Langley, BC, Canada, Phoenix has performed more than 100 tasks, including choosing and packing merchandise, and correctly cleaning, tagging, labeling and folding items, with robotic hands that rival human hand dexterity and fine manipulation. Phoenix is powered by the company’s AI control system, CarbonTM, which mimics subsystems found in the human brain, such as memory, sight, sound and touch, and translates natural language into action in the real world.
Accenture and Mujin Establish Joint Venture to Bring AI and Robotics to the Manufacturing and Logistics Industries
Accenture and Mujin, a leader in intelligent robotics for manufacturing, logistics and supply chain operations, have established Accenture Alpha Automation, a joint venture for the manufacturing and logistics industries. Accenture Alpha Automation will help companies automate their management infrastructure with data-driven solutions that seamlessly combine data from manufacturing and logistics operations with management data. The joint venture is 70% owned by Accenture and 30% by Mujin.
The joint venture will combine Mujin’s experience in industrial robotics and automation with expertise from Accenture’s digital engineering and manufacturing service, Industry X. Accenture Alpha Automation’s solutions will integrate previously disconnected operational data from manufacturing and logistics sites with business management data, such as the company-wide supply chain status, financial information and market information. Accenture and Mujin will bring these solutions to clients to help them make faster, better decisions and hyper-automate their manufacturing and logistics processes.
